It may be oversimplifying things, but Luke Kish sums up the phenomenon that is the Young People Revolution this way: “Nobody likes having a job.” Clearly, Luke himself doesn’t like having a 9-to-5, answer-to-a-boss kind of job. That’s why his Vemma business fits so perfectly into his lifestyle. “I’m traveling all over the country,” Luke says. “I’ve been going to California, Philadelphia, going from school to school meeting people who are interested in this opportunity.” Luke first heard about Vemma from a friend. “At first, I was skeptical; I thought, like most people, that it was too good to be true,” he says. “But then I started seeing how much money you could make, and I really got into it.”* His immediate short-term goal is to achieve Presidential status by November, a milestone he’s well on his way to reaching. He wants to be Ambassador by Convention in April, but he’s aiming even higher than that. “My real long-term goal is to have one of the biggest businesses in all of Vemma,” he says confidently. He’s building his business using advice he received when he first started with the company. “Keep it simple,” he says. “Be the person you want to see in your business. If you are positive and attract people like you, then you’ll be successful.” Incentives like the Frenzy Bonus have also helped boost his numbers. “That has totally helped with the excitement,” he says. “When I tell them how it works, how they can get their own car, earn $700–$1,400 a week, it’s huge.* You see someone living that lifestyle, working with good people, and you want to be a part of it.” Luke’s enthusiasm for the products themselves is also a big part of his success. “I love Verve!” he exclaims. “I’m addicted to it! Once you get started on it, you feel so much better — you have more energy.” “I’ve always been health conscious, so I knew energy drinks were bad for you. I did drink a lot of coffee, but now I’ve totally cut that out. I drink a Verve and a Bod•ē every day, and I’ve never felt better.” Because he’s enjoyed such success with Vemma, he finds himself checking the Vemma app every morning when he wakes up. “I roll over and look to see how many times I’ve cycled,” he says. “I like showing the app to new people, letting them know you’re not doing it all alone, that there is support out there.” Luke’s excitement for the product and his business are contagious. With a voice full of enthusiasm, he explains, “I can help a lot of people with this business. I can change people’s lives for the better. With the situation kids are put in these days, not being able to make money, being dependent on others, this offers them a way to independence. And a way to get and stay healthy, too!” New Star Executive Brad Sarver of Overland Park, Kansas, believed in the Vemma products long before he tried the business plan. “My parents (Cathy and Dan Sarver) first introduced me to Vemma about six years ago, so I’ve been taking the products for years. At the time, I was 23, enjoying a career in real estate and not really interested in other business ventures. My dad brought up the business from time to time, but didn’t push it.” With fluctuations in the real estate market, Brad began seeing the benefit of developing multiple streams of income. He was in Phoenix earlier this year and stopped by Home Office to pick up some Verve. He happened to meet up with Brad Alkazin, Vemma’s youngest Royal Ambassador. “Until I talked to Brad, I didn’t know how young people could really make money with Vemma. That’s when I heard about the Young People Revolution, and that was the day I decided to make the business work.” Since the Believe Convention, Brad has risen to Star Executive and has his sights set on achieving Presidential. “Vemma is a wonderful second stream of income. Some people on my team start out just wanting an extra $500 a month, maybe to pay off loans or make a car payment. Others are savvy business people who are already well off; they recognize the importance of a second stream of income. For most of my team, though, it isn’t all about money — it’s about having the freedom to do what you want, when you want.” As Brad shares his story, he’s having a late morning brunch with friends on a weekday. They’ve just returned from a long bike ride. “There’s no way I could have this kind of freedom with another job — not on a Monday morning! For me, I’ve seen my parents achieve this lifestyle with Vemma. My dad and I go to a lot of sports events, we travel — Midwesterners don’t like showing off their money, but time freedom really matters.” Brad is enthusiastic about the nearly untouched market in most of the Midwest. “There’s a ton of opportunity here in the Midwest. Vemma is new here. I’ve found a lot of people that are jumping right on board. Some of the top people on my team — Eddie Van Buskirk, Greg Miller, Ashleigh Sumner — are from the Kansas City area.” He says they’ve also got awesome leaders from all over the country, like fast-rising Jordan Waldo, who’s from Montana. There’s something about the Vemma opportunity (and the Young People Revolution in particular) that unites people from all over. “College students know that when they graduate, half of them won’t have a job. They’ll be back with Mom and Dad or waiting tables. The Young People Revolution is about young people creating jobs for other young people. I say don’t count on politicians getting elected and creating new jobs. You can create jobs for your friends and family now.” As a “second-generation” Vemma Brand Partner, Brad brings a unique perspective to the business. He’s seen his parents start out new and work hard to reach a comfortable full-time income with Vemma (his parents are among the top 20 earners in Vemma worldwide). Thanks to this insight, Brad sees the true potential of Vemma and shares this with prospective Brand Partners. “Like any business, Vemma takes three to five years to really get good results,” he advises. “As you get into the higher ranks, it can get somewhat overwhelming. I’ve seen people go Star Platinum and then fall off. The more leaders you have and develop, the better it will be. You can’t micromanage 600 people! You give up control to grow.” The good leaders you train become the next stars. Brad is a big believer in personal development and sticking to the system. “I don’t claim to be an all-knowing person. All we do is follow in the footsteps of people who are successful. I followed my parents, I followed what other young people are doing. It works.” What can you learn from this likable leader? Here are Brad’s tips to succeeding with Vemma. 1. Write down your goals and dreams 2. Make a contact list 3. Invite correctly 4. Keep it simple 5. Be excited 6. USA Today reported that 2.6 million new college grads entered the workforce this May, just as unemployment rose to 8.2%, and nearly 20% of last year’s grads are still working in jobs they’re overqualified for. This means that for young people like Jeffrey and Jason Jensen, the search for a viable career requires some ingenuity and flexibility to get ahead. Brothers Jason (22) and Jeffrey (24) are members of Vemma’s #YoungPeopleRevolution — two motivated men from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who are building big with Vemma. As 20-somethings in a tough economy, they’ve found that Vemma is a way around the grim job market. As Jeffrey states, “The only way to make the economy better is to make your own economy better.” Enter Vemma. Vemma Executive Jeffrey JensenHave you ever wondered how a Brand Partner goes from a back row Convention participant to onstage presenter in just 12 months? Talk to 24-year-old Vemma Executive, Jeffrey Jensen. At the 2011 Convention in Las Vegas, Jeffrey sat in the back row as he listened to speakers talk about their “Why” and wondered if that was what he was missing. He’d started off well, going Diamond in 90 days, but by Convention Jeffrey had dropped back to Bronze, cycling just a few times a month. “I listened to Darren Hardy talk about creating a successful mentality and realized I needed to be a better leader.” He also needed to figure out his Why. So Jeffrey sat there in the back row and figured it out. One year later, Jeffrey had catapulted forward from Bronze to Star Platinum (now Executive)!** And Jeffrey isn’t a quiet back row participant anymore — he was on the program at the 2012 Convention. In fact, Jeffrey spoke just before Darren Hardy and had a chance to meet his mentor backstage. “If I can just encourage Brand Partners with one thing,” Jeffrey says, “it’s this: you’re only one person away from an explosion. Sometimes it’s a bit of a roller coaster ride, but if you hit a down spot, stick it out. My upline mentors David Graham and Billy McSwain drilled this into me: if you don’t give up, you’ll be successful.” Building primarily through the Verve-loving, under-30 market, Jeffrey knows the lingo and the technology to relate to his peers. “Facebook is such a big craze,” he says. “I get 15 or 20 alerts every two hours. And the apps make Vemma really cool. When I tell people there’s a prospecting app, they’re ready to start. Kids are doing this anyway — sending each other videos.” Jeffrey says that many college students are ready to give the Vemma and Verve business a try. Those just older are often wary of network marketing, but college students realize the impact the economy is having. According to Fox News, graduating college students have an average student loan debt of $25,200, but the average starting salary for a college grad is just $21,900. “They’re seeing friends struggle to pay off loans while working low-paying jobs — and they don’t want this. I’ve got lots of friends in this situation. In fact, of all my high school friends, I’m the only one without a college degree and the only one who doesn’t still live with parents. Many college students are realizing that the only way to make the economy better is to make theirown economy better.” Vemma provides the opportunity for college-age adults to build a business and create their own positive-flow economy. “We’re charging up for this fall,” Jeffrey says. He and his team have a lot of on-campus events planned and will be opening in eight new schools. “I do a lot of Skype calls, 3-way calls and lots of traveling. And lots of late nights.” It works out well for his new wife Lauren, who’s a nurse. “Lauren loves the products and supports me 100%. She’s seen what a difference it made to me.” Jeffrey is excited about the new incentives rolled out this summer and the impact they’re having on business. He maintains that it’s easier to build fast than slow, and the incentives help Brand Partners grow fast and get rewarded. “I tell people to take action right away. You don’t have to know everything before you start. You’ve got your upline’s number! That’s all you need.” Vemma Diamond Jason JensenAs a college athlete, Jason learned the value of health, nutrition and discipline. He was on scholarship for track and field (a thrower), and used Vemma products regularly. “My family is very pro-Vemma,” says Jason, a 22-year-old recent college graduate. “Everyone in the Jensen family uses Vemma. Starting your own Vemma business is often just a matter of time. My parents order four cases of product a month for themselves and the rest of the family, and my older brother Jeffrey has created a lot of success with his business lately.” Jason has seen firsthand how Vemma helped his mother’s health several years ago,* and he credits Bod•ē with helping him lose weight after a serious back injury earlier this year.* A business management major, Jason graduated with honors in May ’12 from Coastal Carolina University — but without a flashy job offer. “At some point during my senior year, I looked around the job market and realized there was nothing for me in Myrtle Beach. Lots of my friends who’d graduated from college were serving tables, just like me. If you don’t know people to get you in, or if you don’t have time to do an internship (and as an athlete, I didn’t), it’s tough. I realized if you want a job at graduation, you have to start your freshman year.” About the time Jason graduated, Brad Alkazin came to Myrtle Beach, and he and Jeffrey talked to Jason about Vemma. “Seeing my brother Jeffrey’s success really had an impact on me. And I’ve known Brad for a few years. Suddenly it hit me — what am I waiting for? It’s time to build my team with Vemma. My goals are really Vemma-focused now. I’m pushing hard to hit Platinum and turn Vemma into a full-time income.” He says he’s seen huge success with the new Frenzy Bonus. “It gives new Brand Partners a good, simple goal. Get three on board — then three on each side. It simplifies the business and I’ve seen a lot of people succeed thanks to this incentive alone.” Jason encourages new Brand Partners to get involved. “Put Vemma right up there with your other priorities — your family, God, whatever you care most about. Then stay connected. This past month, I’ve been to every meeting, listened to every call. Even if you don’t have anyone who’s a prospect, go to the meetings anyway. Just being around the atmosphere is motivating.” “I am excited about where Vemma’s going — not just my business, but the whole company. People are starting to come to me and Jeffrey because they’ve heard about Verve, and that’s exciting.” Like true champions, Jason and Jeffrey Jensen have created their own success with Vemma in a job market that’s toughest on the young. These adaptable entrepreneurs see opportunities and creative solutions with Vemma, leading the way for other Millennials to follow.
