New Star Executive Brad Sarver of Overland Park, Kansas, believed in the Vemma products long before he tried the business plan. “My parents (Cathy and Dan Sarver) first introduced me to Vemma about six years ago, so I’ve been taking the products for years. At the time, I was 23, enjoying a career in real estate and not really interested in other business ventures. My dad brought up the business from time to time, but didn’t push it.”
With fluctuations in the real estate market, Brad began seeing the benefit of developing multiple streams of income. He was in Phoenix earlier this year and stopped by Home Office to pick up some Verve. He happened to meet up with Brad Alkazin, Vemma’s youngest Royal Ambassador. “Until I talked to Brad, I didn’t know how young people could really make money with Vemma. That’s when I heard about the Young People Revolution, and that was the day I decided to make the business work.”
Since the Believe Convention, Brad has risen to Star Executive and has his sights set on achieving Presidential. “Vemma is a wonderful second stream of income. Some people on my team start out just wanting an extra $500 a month, maybe to pay off loans or make a car payment. Others are savvy business people who are already well off; they recognize the importance of a second stream of income. For most of my team, though, it isn’t all about money — it’s about having the freedom to do what you want, when you want.”
As Brad shares his story, he’s having a late morning brunch with friends on a weekday. They’ve just returned from a long bike ride. “There’s no way I could have this kind of freedom with another job — not on a Monday morning! For me, I’ve seen my parents achieve this lifestyle with Vemma. My dad and I go to a lot of sports events, we travel — Midwesterners don’t like showing off their money, but time freedom really matters.”
Brad is enthusiastic about the nearly untouched market in most of the Midwest. “There’s a ton of opportunity here in the Midwest. Vemma is new here. I’ve found a lot of people that are jumping right on board. Some of the top people on my team — Eddie Van Buskirk, Greg Miller, Ashleigh Sumner — are from the Kansas City area.” He says they’ve also got awesome leaders from all over the country, like fast-rising Jordan Waldo, who’s from Montana.
There’s something about the Vemma opportunity (and the Young People Revolution in particular) that unites people from all over. “College students know that when they graduate, half of them won’t have a job. They’ll be back with Mom and Dad or waiting tables. The Young People Revolution is about young people creating jobs for other young people. I say don’t count on politicians getting elected and creating new jobs. You can create jobs for your friends and family now.”
As a “second-generation” Vemma Brand Partner, Brad brings a unique perspective to the business. He’s seen his parents start out new and work hard to reach a comfortable full-time income with Vemma (his parents are among the top 20 earners in Vemma worldwide). Thanks to this insight, Brad sees the true potential of Vemma and shares this with prospective Brand Partners.
“Like any business, Vemma takes three to five years to really get good results,” he advises. “As you get into the higher ranks, it can get somewhat overwhelming. I’ve seen people go Star Platinum and then fall off. The more leaders you have and develop, the better it will be. You can’t micromanage 600 people! You give up control to grow.” The good leaders you train become the next stars.
Brad is a big believer in personal development and sticking to the system. “I don’t claim to be an all-knowing person. All we do is follow in the footsteps of people who are successful. I followed my parents, I followed what other young people are doing. It works.”
What can you learn from this likable leader? Here are Brad’s tips to succeeding with Vemma.
1. Write down your goals and dreams
2. Make a contact list
3. Invite correctly
4. Keep it simple
5. Be excited
6. Practice
